Flu is more dangerous than the common cold for children. Every year, thousands of children are hospitalized with the flu, which is why it’s important to make sure you and your child has gotten their flu shot this season. This National Influenza Vaccination Week, help reduce your child’s risk by getting them a flu vaccine.

Seasonal flu shots protect against influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common in the upcoming season. After getting the flu shot, antibodies develop in the body about two weeks later that provide protection against infection.
Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu shot (with rare exceptions).
