The city is welcoming thousands of music educators and student musicians and their supporters from across the state to Peoria this week for the Illinois Music Education Association's 2026 Illinois Music Education Conference at Peoria Civic Center!

The event will feature over 150 professional development clinics and concerts over three days as attendees convene to learn, network, and perform for their peers and community members! 🎶

Led by our residential condo owners association, MAXAM Quarters, it was time for another spring cleaning in the parking garage and exterior plus new plantings!

There are currently a couple units available for purchase. Come take a look at what downtown living could be like!

We are thrilled that this event is back and so excited for many to check out the inside of The MAXAM! In addition to the activities, explore some of the wonderful artwork in our lobby as curated by William Butler and the Contemporary Arts Centre of Peoria! All artwork is available for sale.

We have a new neighbor! Welcome to the building, Bay Leaf Indian Restaurant! We are happy you are here! Our staff has had a chance to savor their menu offerings and give it 👍🏼 👍🏼! Stop in and give them a try. They are right next door to us in the MAXAM Building.

The MAXAM Building is a little community in itself and today this community came together as it does annually to power wash away the winter, trim the trees, and pull the weeds before adding some fresh 💯 virgin cedar to the landscaping! So grateful to all of those who helped from the residential side of the building - MAXAM Quarters! A special thank you to Barb and Carl McRoy for maintaining our adopted planter boxes on Washington Street by adding some new bushes and floral!!
