No country is perfect. America isn't perfect.
But teaching people to despise their own nation, mock its history, and reject everything good about it doesn't make a country better.
It destroys gratitude. It destroys unity. It destroys the next generation.
People who hate their country will never fight to preserve it.
Patriotism isn't blind loyalty.
It's loving your country enough to improve it instead of burn it down. 🇺🇸

The Declaration of Independence wasn't merely a statement of ideals.
It was also a formal explanation.
The Founders outlined numerous grievances against King George III, arguing that repeated abuses of power had violated their rights as Englishmen and made reconciliation increasingly difficult.
Whether one agrees with every claim or not, the Declaration reminds us that the decision for independence was not made impulsively.
It was presented as a last resort after years of petitions, protests, and conflict.

“You talk about the children…” — VP JD Vance
One of the most revealing moments from JD Vance’s appearance on The View wasn’t what he said.
It was what he exposed.
For a while now, Americans have been told to be outraged about immigration detention facilities.
But when Vance brought up the tens of thousands of migrant children who were trafficked, exploited, or simply lost track of amid the chaos at the border, the conversation suddenly became uncomfortable.
Where was their outrage when children were trafficked?
That’s the problem with selective outrage.
If children matter, then ALL children matter.
If human dignity matters, then it matters whether the victims fit our preferred political narrative or not.

Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence.
But Congress refined it.
Delegates debated wording, removed sections, and revised language before the final version was approved.
History often celebrates individuals.
But the founding of America was also a story of collaboration, disagreement, and shared conviction.
The Declaration wasn't simply written.
It was forged.

On this date (June 16, 1858) 168 years ago, Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous “House Divided” speech, warning that the United States could not endure permanently half slave and half free.
History reminds us that some issues demand moral clarity.
A nation cannot thrive when truth itself becomes negotiable.

What a difference a few years can make.
One administration celebrated ideology.
The other celebrates America.
Thank you, President Trump! 🇺🇸

This is my pride flag. 🇺🇸
It represents freedom. Sacrifice. Opportunity. And the countless men and women who fought to preserve the liberties we often take for granted.
I love my country.
I love my flag.
And I’m not afraid to say it.
Happy Flag Day!

Thomas Jefferson sat down to draft a document that would explain to the world why the colonies believed independence was necessary.
His words would outlive him.
They would inspire nations.
And they would remind future generations that rights do not originate from governments.
The road to independence had reached the writing desk.

The decision for independence required more than courage.
It required clarity.
Congress appointed five men to draft a declaration explaining why the colonies believed separation from Britain was necessary.
Thomas Jefferson. John Adams. Benjamin Franklin. Roger Sherman. Robert Livingston.
The cause of liberty would now be put into words.

For more than a year, Americans had debated, fought, prayed, and wrestled with the future of the colonies.
Then, on June 7, 1776, Richard Henry Lee proposed what many had begun to believe:
That these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States.
The moment had arrived.
Independence was no longer a distant possibility.
It was now a formal question before Congress.
