Singapore is officially Caleb’s 47th country, and every destination we visit helps show that autistic children can explore the world too with the right supports and accommodations.

➡️ Here are some sensory-friendly activities to consider if you plan to visit:

✔️ Visit Gardens by the Bay and enjoy the beautiful outdoor gardens and climate-controlled conservatories.

✔️ Explore Jewel Changi Airport, home to the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and plenty of open space to walk around.

✔️ Watch marine life at S.E.A. Aquarium, where many families find the large viewing windows calming.

✔️ Visit Singapore Zoo and explore at your own pace.

✔️ Ride the Singapore MRT to experience one of the world’s cleanest and easiest public transportation systems.

Have a layover in Singapore? Singapore offers a free city tour for eligible transit passengers with longer layovers, making it a great way to see some of the city’s highlights without planning an entire day.

Every trip is another opportunity to increase autism awareness and show what’s possible.

Receiving an autism diagnosis or even beginning the evaluation process can leave families with a lot of questions.

Where do I start?
How do I get an evaluation?
What services are available?
How do I deal with insurance?

I know I’m not alone with these questions. It’s overwhelming but here is a resource to make it easier.

Circle Care helps simplify the process by connecting families with resources, guidance, and support every step of the way.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, know that help is available and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Justice for Semaj!

Parents and staff both deserve transparency, support, and protection in educational settings, especially when working with children who may be nonverbal, have communication challenges, or require additional support.

➡️ Here are important reasons cameras with sound can benefit special needs classrooms:

💙 Helps protect nonverbal children

💙Provides accountability for everyone

💙 Helps resolve misunderstandings

💙 Can identify bullying or unsafe situations

💙 Protects staff from false accusations

💙 Helps parents feel more at ease

💙 Supports better training for staff

💙 Can help identify behavior triggers

💙 Builds trust between schools and families

Transparency matters when children may not always be able to communicate what happened during the school day.

🚨 FREE 40-Hour RBT Training Opportunity 🚨

Here is the link. https://drbrownadventures.com/resource/free-rbt-training-40-hours-only/

If you’ve ever wanted to work with autistic children or support the autism community, this could be a great first step. Many organizations offer the required 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training online for FREE.

➡️ Here are the highlights:

• Learn the basics of behavior support and ABA therapy

• Flexible online training options

• Great for parents, caregivers, teachers, and future professionals

• Can open doors to working in schools, clinics, and therapy settings

• Helps build skills to better support autistic individuals

• Some employers may also help with certification steps after training

RBTs play an important role in helping autistic children build communication, social, and daily living skills.

⚠️ Important to know:
Completing the 40-hour course alone does not make you certified. Additional competency assessments and an exam are required through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

This could be a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the field without paying hundreds for training.
