An inside look at a Pensacola gem!

Part of the 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 tour and 𝐇𝐨𝐩-𝐎𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐩-𝐎𝐟𝐟 tour is the graffiti bridge; uniquely characteristic of Pensacola. While many are aware of its presence, its history isn’t as well known. Originally built in 1888, the bridge has been painted on for generations now! Graffiti coats every square inch of the bridge itself, so the art is naturally expanding to areas surrounding it. With the art changing daily, the artists know that nothing is permanent as their works could be painted over in a matter of hours. However, if something memorable is put on, it might just stick around for a while.

Part of the 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 and the 𝐇𝐨𝐩-𝐎𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐩-𝐎𝐟𝐟 tour, Historic North Hill was established during the city’s prosperous lumber boom, and continued to develop over the next century. As a result, this beautiful sector contains the most uniquely styled homes in Pensacola. Led by veteran realtor, Barbara Odom Westholm, this tour is distinctive in its presentation as you may be able to walk into one of the historic homes and see the beauty on the inside!

We are conducting our first tour since March 17! It is the 𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫, which has been improved and includes a visit into a haunted house. Only a few seats remain. The tour commences at 5:30 at Go Retro’s depot located on 610 N. Spring St. Reservations required.

Part of the 𝐇𝐨𝐩-𝐎𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐩-𝐎𝐟𝐟, 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫, 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, and 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 tours, Old Christ Church is a significant Pensacola landmark. Erected in 1832, it is the oldest religious building in Florida still on its original foundation and suffered greatly during Union occupation during the Civil War. While its days as church ended in 1903, it has served as a library, museum, and more recently as a wedding venue.

Nearby is Pensacola Bay Brewery, which is the second oldest of its type in the city. We occasionally offer a 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 that visits there. You should taste the beer yourself and absorb the history that surrounds you!

McGuire’s Irish Pub is one of the stops on our Hop-on Hop-off Tour. This family owned business is truly one-of-a-kind. It contains the oldest operating craft brewery in Florida and was the first restaurant in Pensacola to receive a Golden Spoon award, recognizing its outstanding culinary. McGuire’s is still open for business, and we encourage folks to visit them.

The county regrettably has shut down Pensacola Beach, but city beaches like Bruce and Johnson remain open. Enjoy them while you can! Also, check out the Walking Ghost Tour on Thursday evenings. The stories are entertaining and it's good to get out of the house!

Business is down significantly at Go Retro thanks to the Corona virus. Yet, we're still offering sightseeing and haunted tours. In fact, Pensacola Beach still is open too. Share the good news. Wash your hands. Keep safe distances. Don't go stir crazy at home. Explore Pensacola!

A group from Navy Federal Credit Union enjoyed Go Retro's Christmas Lights Tour, which ended with caroling and Christmas refreshments. Young tour guide, Julian, and Tasting Tour guide, Sophie, were awesome.

The Garden Club recently went on the Andrew Jackson Tour. Here are their comments: "Our group really enjoyed the tour. There wasn't as much congestion as we feared and things went smoothly. The video is done so well and is very informative. Although we have lived here many years, we drive by these historic spots without fully appreciating their significance. AND we did it on Feb. 22, the very date that the Adams-Onis Treaty was signed 200 years ago. Great job, Curtis."
