It is so beautiful outside. I love having a cup of coffee with two slices of toast with butter and strawberry jam. Aaahhh this is the most outstanding weather most people take advantage of. It’s raining so hard outside; you would think its we’re reliving ‘Noah’s ark’ again. It’s funny! The weather that is. It could either be life threatening or it can be lifesaving. I guess it depends on how you treat mother nature and the gods of the universe. I have to say, that the universe has been very good to me.

Hello my fellow readers. this is Libby the author and I want to let you know I'm taking a mental health break, but I will be back in the mid-January. Hello everyone and fellow readers this is Libby here I came by because I wanted to let everyone know that I’m going to be taking some time for myself for my health and for my mental health and try to regroup. I will be back in the middle of January where I will be posting new series of two stories one is little Emily that’s one it’s for little children and up and the other story will be quadruple fab family. Every morning she wakes up out of bed, gets herself together and then prepares breakfast for her family. She spends most of the day cleaning and picking up after John. When they had their daughter Amiliah, her work basically tripled, not only did she have to take care of their baby, but she still had to cleaned and catered for her husband.

Its, Friday afternoon, streets of Seattle Washington are full of people, back up traffic from everywhere and not to mention it’s about 90 degrees outside and everyone at the ‘Seattle Bookworm publishing and magazine are tired and already for the day to end. People walking around in meetings, getting coffee, faxing, and copping papers and people at the desk getting research for articles on their laptops for the next articles on what they were assigned to.
Elaine Johnson who does the marketing at ‘Seattle bookworm’ is heading towards the break room to get her third cup of coffee before she heads to her fourth meeting of the day, but fortunately the last. Elaine has been tired and gloomed all day. Although she is glad that she has the weekend off, but tomorrow is the day she has to spend time with the worst person of the world. Her mother Phionah. But she couldn’t focus on that at the moment, because everyone is towards ‘focus group meeting’. This is the most important meeting because it involves her boss, Miss Carin.
In the meeting everyone is talking about the next article they are going to be working on and pitch their going to be giving to their boss Miss Carine. Yes! We call her miss Carine because that is what she prefers. This woman is a straight up diva. A white 38-year-old woman that looks like a stick figure with big breast and wears clothes that looks like it was meant for five-year-old. Every time we have a meeting, she always starts with a story of her having a one-night stands with the latest male model or some celebrity. Elaine is never threatened or scared of miss Carin. She always focusses on her work and her writing on the side.
Elaine was extremely nervous about this meeting. she had worked for ‘gossip gab’ for over ten years and she always wanted to write about what she was always passionate about which was politics and black issues and black women’s issues. But she has never gotten to do that. Elaine is the best leads in all her articles, but this time she was nervous because she really did not know what to write about this time around. She has wrote about s*x, periods,’ how to win your ex back’ and at this point she was tired of the whole ordeal. Women are more interested in reading more than just how to please your man and what to do when aunt flow comes.
Elaine looks to her right and can see miss Carin was coming her way to the focus room. She felt so nervous steadily holding a big cup of coffee tightly with both of her hands to keep from shaking her leg or tapping her foot, which she often does when she’s nervous.
She grabs two packets of Splenda to put in her coffee and then she grabs the creamer that some brought back from the store. Hazelnut is her favorite. Just a small dash of cream and she was fine.
MEETING! A co-worker calls out after he sees miss Carin coming closer to the room. you can hear all the employees rushing down the hall which sounds like a heard of elephants stumbling down the hall. Elaine quickly grabs a stir for her coffee and heads down to the focus room.

Everyone sat down in a big circle getting with their note pads and a pen, getting ready for the meeting. Everyone is talking at once and waiting for Miss Carine to come in. she was just outside the focus room talking to her assistant for a while about something. As soon as she was done talking to her assistant, she opened the glass door and walked right in. immediately the room got incredibly quiet with the exception of some people. Then she yells out HELLO! THE MEETING DOES NOT START UNTILL I MISS CARIN WALKS AND WHEN I DO YALL KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT UNTILL I SPEAK TO YOU. Everyone quickly straightens up in their seat with their mouth shut. Looked like a group of high school getting yelled at by the teacher.
My friend Laraine comes dodging in at the last minute for the meeting and sits right next to me.
“Hey!”
“Hey!”
“You nervous or something?
“A little, but not about the meeting, said Elaine”.
