Nancy von Meyer - Ward 3 - Pendleton SC
My vision for Pendleton is for an inclusive, friendly, healthy village.
My plan includes:
Develop sidewalks and trails to foster health and community
Align growth with Pendleton historic character
Actively recruit businesses that enhance our community
Please consider applying for the International Property Management Board. we have several vacancies on this board and we need to have it filled to do the code enforcement and support for this board. It does not meet often so it is a relatively low impact way to contribute to the town but so important for keeping properties aligned with our town's safety and property condition rules.

The trail behind tri county technical college is so pretty and so many birds. We know there is always trail work to do and we will coordinate with TCTC for our next day of service.

Market place explores the values of trees. We have a lot of trees and we need to encourage more and save what we have
Cities are investing tax dollars ... on trees. Here's why it works Every dollar invested in trees generates roughly three dollars in benefits.

Sarah has reached out to SCDOT and Anderson District 4 about the stop light on Dalton Road and 187 - She has a call to action if this is an area of concern. We need to make out voices heard on issues we care about.

Yesterday, the Town of Pendleton sent a memo to Anderson School District 4, members of our state delegation, the Anderson County Sheriffβs Office, and SCDOT regarding ongoing concerns about traffic and pedestrian safety on Highway 187 ahead of the opening of the new Pendleton High School.
We hear your concerns, and we share them. While Highway 187 is a state road under SCDOT jurisdiction and the school is not located within town limits, we are continuing to advocate for solutions and have had several conversations with various agencies and partners about this issue.
Update: Duke Energy has now installed the necessary box for the traffic signal, and SCDOT has indicated the light should be operational next week.
If you feel strongly about this issue, I encourage you to contact your state representatives, attend Anderson School District 4 board meetings, and share your concerns directly. Community voices matter.
For Pendleton, always.
