In all the goat chaos I forgot about sharing our new chicken additions, lavender orpingtons!
These sweet souls are 4 weeks today and we got them as a straight run (thank you 🐥). So that means there’s a 50/50 shot we could get roos or hens.
How many are giving rooster vibes in the second to last picture? 😅 we have two different areas we keep chickens on our farm and our goal is to keep two of the nicest! We’ve only ever had bantam roosters and they were NOT nice (tiny men, big personalities).
Stay tuned for their gender reveals in the coming weeks, praying for more hens than roosters! 🩵🐥🩷

Cat napping like the queen that she is 👑
Martha has fully embraced her roll and duty as our official mouser here on the farm. Over the years she’s become less zealous in her pursuit of hunting creatures but I think she’s put a healthy fear into them with her presence alone that we haven’t seen a mouse in our barns in years!!!
She may be aloof and only want pets on her terms, (except from Coleman who she LOVES), but we don’t take it personal. Praying she lives a long, safe, comfortable life here on the farm.

Welcoming the newest girl, Tina!
This sweet, floppy eared baby is a 3 week old Nubian doeling and the absolute sweetest 🥹 (see the last picture to get the full image of just how floppy those ears are!)
She will be a full size dairy goat producing almost double of what our Nigerians do with VERY similar milk content. She’s quite a ways off from having babies so for now, we get to enjoy building a close relationship with her snd getting her used to the craziness currently existing on the farm.
Stay tuned for updates and to see how she integrates with our Nigerian babies! 🐐

Rousey’s boys are 5 weeks today and filling in BEAUTIFLLY. These guys are SO full of personality and have been fun to watch.
The best part, they are still available! We’d love for them to go together but can be separated as long as other goats are there to keep them company.
-the are in tact (can be banded at 8 weeks)
-will have horns
-have the prettiest baby blue eyes
-can go as bottle babies now or weaned 7-8 weeks
Reach out to discuss pricing (priced to move) and we are ALWAYS happy to have you out to meet them!

And then there were 4!
Rousey’s twin girls and Kimmy/Kendall’s boys went to their new home today (all together, yay!). We will be retaining the last two girls and will make individual post introducing them in the near future.
Both of Rousey’s boys (the two black/white ones in the picture) are STILL AVAILABLE. They can go as bottle babies anytime now. Reach out with any questions or interest!
Hopefully everyone is enjoying this sunny day, we sure are in the Midwest! Thanks for tuning in ☀️ 🐐

In all the baby goat excitement we forgot to share…BABY CHICKS!
We’ve had these ladies for the last 2 weeks now and everyone is doing great! We picked breeds for egg color (fellow chicken owners will understand this) and production! They’re a mix of Leg bars, orpingtons, olive eggers, sapphire jewels, and green queens.
We’ll mix this in with our goat content as we go, and will share another cute chicken update tomorrow because my chicken math is not so good (also another thing chicken owners will understand) 🐣 🐥 🥚

This deserves a permanent space on our timeline, caught in the action of jumping off moms back 😆 baby goats are 10/10 my favorite farm animal to have around here. Happy Thursday from The Petrys

The quads are 2 weeks old and doing GREAT! These two twin boys are the last of our babies this season looking for their forever homes!
DETAILS:
They are unregistered, (dad is a registered, very sturdy/solid built buck), come in tact and with horns. They have the prettiest blues, and come from one of my FAVORITE, best tempered mamas that I have (she is not registered but had a nice solid build as well).
They can go on bottles NOW and can be separated but prefer if they go together. Their listing is on our website (we feel so official now).
Click on the link and feel free to message with any questions and also, please share!!!
