🏀 We’re excited to welcome Boomer, the Indiana Pacers mascot, as our special guest! He’s bringing energy, fun, and a big dose of excitement for the kids. But beyond the fun and games, this week has been about something far greater: learning what it means to live for Jesus.
The world teaches kids to “train” for fame, success, and temporary achievements-but God’s Word points us to something better. “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things…” (1 Timothy 4:8) True life is found in Christ, and living for Him brings a joy that doesn’t fade when the game is over. That’s what VBS is all about! We are training hearts for something eternal. It’s full of laughter, friendship, and excitement, but it also points kids to a life that is truly full and meaningful in Jesus Christ.

Happy Father’s Day! Today we thank God for the fathers, grandfathers, and godly men who have invested in our lives. As we honor earthly fathers, may we also lift our hearts in worship to our Heavenly Father.

Lingering longer after church is a favorite year round at Solid Rock, but through the summer it usually involves a treat! We are so thankful for the church community God has created. It’s so sweet! 🍧

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

One of the greatest blessings of our church is watching the next generation live out their faith right now.

☔️ As the rain poured down last night, our young people grabbed umbrellas and immediately began helping others get safely inside.
Sometimes we talk about young people as “the future of the church,” but moments like these remind us that they are already an important part of the church today. They are already serving, already leading by example, and already being the hands and feet of Jesus.

We are thankful for a generation that understands that following Christ means loving and serving others. May we continue to encourage them, pray for them, and celebrate the work God is already doing through their lives.
