Smoke is affecting air quality in our Pendleton area, and masks are available for those who need them.
OSU Extension Umatilla County, has provided a box of masks to The Salvation Army in Pendleton, located at 150 SE Emigrant Ave. Community members who need a mask for smoke protection are welcome to pick one up there while supplies last.
If you are interested in helping distribute masks in the community, please contact our Pendleton office (541) 278-5403.
Please stay safe and take precautions to protect your health during smoky conditions.
Umatilla County residents: Keep an eye on your garden soil. Jumping worms are spreading across Oregon and they have been found in our County. These invasive pests can cause serious damage to plants and ecosystems. Learn the signs and help stop their spread.
