Return customer called saying he thinks he needs a starter but not sure and required assistance

Tech found low voltage and tried to jump the car .. car would not jump start

Tech then isolated the battery and tested it and found 34 cold cranking amps present in the battery out of the 800 cold cranking amps it says it is supposed to put out .. battery still at 12v but 34 cca and high internal resistance

Tech removed and replaced and coded the battery back into the cars computer

Customer does not need a starter just a battery and it coded into the system

Job was performed in Milton freewater

We have a tow truck !!
Tech finished the bed install on the tow truck today
Soon we will have tow plates and insurance on the truck and will be able to tow people off the road or repair them roadside !
We also will be changing the company name to Alpha Mobile Repair & Recovery

More tow truck build ..
Frame drilled / Fuel tank bolted in and the new fuel lines have been ran
The fuel tank sending unit connector has been relocated to the new tank location
The frame was cut 14” and the rear center support and rear fuel tank has been removed
Next is to box the end of the frame with end caps welded into place and then drop the tow Bed on it and run hydraulic lines

Customer had a leak in the front of the car .. tech quickly found a cracked side tank and replaced the radiator and customer requested new headlight assembly’s as well

Our Technican Cody has grieved the loss of his biological father and is back to work starting tomorrow … today techs started the build of our tow truck by removing the service box it had and reinforcing the frame and installing the custom midship fuel tank and tow bed

People have been asking why we are listed as temporarily closed …

Reason is we are busy and need to focus on vehicle maintenance and our current customer vehicles before accepting new jobs

We will be back fully open to the public next week Friday

We will have full mobile repair service available as well as towing services

2012 Chevrolet equinox 2.4 ecotec

Customer was gonna have us check why it was running rough but before we could get to check it out it stalled and died on them in the road right after making the appointment with us

Tech found the timing chain tensioner had failed and timing chain had jumped teeth and all valves were bent both intake and exhaust side causing zero compression

Tech will send head out for resurface and do a rebuild on cylinder head , new water pump , new timing set with phasers , new head gasket set with new bolts , thermostat , oil change , coolant fill and bleed

Best part is it comes with a 1 year unlimited mileage labor warranty and cost less than a 78,000 mile engine with 78,000 mile timing and water pump and head gasket etc

17 f150 5.0 6r80 , customer parked truck and it would not start so customer installed a new starter prior to calling us but the starter did not solve the problem
When our tech arrived he scanned the vehicle and found codes for transmission range sensor , tech then looked at live data and found the truck always thought it was in drive and that’s why it would not activate its starter

Tech removed transmission pan and drained all fluids removed the transmission filter and removed the valve body and removed and replaced the transmission Conductor plate wich has a integrated range sensor and reinstalled the valve body with new seals and pan gasket and filled it full of fluid to capacity

Truck starts runs and shift into gear and is ready to get back to the road
