The Salvation Army Pendleton serves hot meals seven days a week to those in need in the Pendleton community.
Wildhorse Foundation recently awarded a $25,000 grant that will be directed towards the food, gas, and supplies needed to continue serving around 150 meals each day. As food costs rise, many of our most vulnerable neighbors rely on programs like this for consistent, nourishing meals.

Neighbor 2 Neighbor Pendleton receives $25K grant - East Oregonian Neighbor 2 Neighbor Pendleton will continue providing safe, warm overnight shelter to individuals experiencing homelessness this winter with a $25,000 grant from the Wildhorse Foundation.

We're proud to be supporting Pendleton Public Library in acquiring a new wheelchair accessible Mobile Library with a $15,000 grant! The new model will be used to visit local assisted living facilities, senior living areas, preschools, and daycares.

The Wildhorse Foundation is excited to be contributing $10,000 towards the new Pendleton Community Garden Project!
The grant will be used for infrastructure costs (including items like raised beds, fencing, soil, and tools) and educational programing ๐จโ๐พ๐ฅ The garden is being developed at 1020 SW 25th St, a city-owned lot โ and planting will begin in 2026.
Umatilla County Master Gardeners Association (OSU Extension - Umatilla County), Umatilla County Public Health, and City of Pendleton are partnering on this project โ which will have plots available for rent, a children's learning garden, community gathering spaces, a seed library, and more.
