Grip-Tec? I’m generally an optimist guy, but always a little skeptical when working with new materials. However, I can confirm the positive reviews of this stuff are all true. The look might not be for the “fine wood aficionados”, but the feel and functionality are on point. Working with it was surprising pleasant. It machines well, grinds clean, and sanding wasn’t problematic. I did some testing with bonding to a variety of materials and its hold strength was similar to Micarta. Overall I’m quite impressed!

“The Chocolatier.” Now that Christmas has passed I can finally talk about this knife. The aggressive serrations on this Magnacut blade are used for breaking down large slabs of chocolate. You could probably also limb small trees with it too! If you happen to find yourself in northeast Oregon, you need to check out the new Pendleton Bakery. They have a wide variety of heavenly baked goods that will make your tastebuds jump for joy!

Pre heat-treat on this Magnacut saltwater fishing sword. Here I’m just making a G10 guard. This build will get some extra grip thanks to some handle scales!

Best guess…how many sheets of sandpaper were used in this build?
