USDA-Licensed Breeder and Rescue — Conveniently Located in Central New England! Want to meet some hedgehogs? So we decided to become a breeder ourselves!

Committed hedgehog breeding and rescue serving New England since 2003. Schedule a visit to come play with and learn about hedgehogs! Just 45 minutes North of Boston or 35 minutes South of Manchester! As a husband and wife team, we coincidentally both had hedgies in our lives since 1995. After we got married in 1998 and our first pet store hedgies passed away, we had trouble finding a local reputable breeder.

Here are Pacific and her babies. The two white pinto ones are already spoken for as is the boy with the split face. They’re about five weeks old now, so still with Mom and not ready to leave the nest.

Today, the hedgehogs and I visited the https://www.facebook.com/PelhamPublicLibraryNH/ We had 3 groups of 15 kids (and parents) and a half hour for each group. All the kids had a blast holding and playing with the hedgehogs. I am told that the sign-up sheet filled up super quickly, so we are going to set up another visit for more kids to see the hedgehogs. A fun day was had by all!

Here is my surviver girl taking an epsom salt soak. She is healing up really great. Most of the infection is gone with the exception of her leg. Her forehead is mostly healed and there are just some small scabs left. I hope her forehead quills grow back, but she will be loved either way.

**WARNING** 99.999999999% of the time hedgehog girls can live together without and problems. There may be minor spats over territory or minor nibbles. This is the first time in 23+ years of breeding that I had a girl that absolutely tried to destroy another girl. They had even been living together with other girls for nearly a month. The photos below are after about a week and a half of healing, antibiotics, painkillers, epsom salt baths, and Neosporin. The infection was really bad and I though maybe we would have to put her down, but she finally turned a corner and is getting better. We aren't out of the woods yet, but every day is a little better. She's been eating and drinking, pooping like a champ, and tolerating her baths and antibiotics really well.

The girl who did the biting is in a pet home with directions that she can never be caged with another hedgehog. She is really social and sweet with people....... just not with other hedgehogs.

If you have girls living together, just keep an eye on them. You may never ever have any problems, and hopefully you won't.

Does anyone want these grids and connectors for C&C cages? Must be picked up at our house in Pelham NH relatively soon. You can also turn them into storage cubbies.

So I just spent half my day ripping apart the Hedgehog room and all of my rooms downstairs looking for two hedgehogs that I thought had escaped. Finally around 3 PM. It dawned on me that they went to their new owners two weeks ago. Well, at least my Hedgehog room and my supply room got a good clean out of it.
This is Mauve and her baby. Sorry I couldn’t do a video, but the fan is on in the Hedgehog room right now and it’s very loud. The fan is set on a timer and I don’t want to mess with it so that I can shoot a video.
