VFS hosted another Pelham Pastors' Luncheon this year with Maurice Mercer, at the helm, welcoming the largest gathering to date! We are so thankful for his leadership. Thank you to the Mayor, Elected Officials, Chief of Police, First Responders, & Pastors. Another wonderful graduation of our Keep Your Love On Moms’ Group at My Sister’s Place took place last Friday evening. Our Team 2 Facilitators this year, Stephanie Jones and Justine McCord did an incredible job teaching the importance of connection, communication, and boundaries. VFS' Data Manager BJ Dubose & Family Services Director Derick Williams, recently attended the Annual Administrative Office of Courts Training, with the objective of increasing the amount of time non-custodial parents have with their children. One of our many goals at VFS, is to support fathers so they can be involved, committed, and responsible for their children.

Our very own VFS' Family Services Director Derick Williams, recently spoke at one of the many Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility Graduations for ladies that will soon be leaving to start their lives again. Mr. Williams spoke on taking advantage of every opportunity that comes your way and bringing your very best to everything you do. We are praying and proud of each graduate on all their hard work! We are thankful for our long partnership with Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility and for allowing us to offer life changing programs within their facility.
