Oh GE. This is why i sing your praises out on high. Really???? How about sending parts out as their ordered, instead of sending them all a month later.?

Alright friends. Give me your tired, your broken, your misbehaving appliances!! I'm opening up time for the older out-of-warranty stuff. Need some older stuff to work on. Too much new stuff, im off balance!!

Quite the spread over the last 6 months....

Today's Highlight:
Pull up too customers home, hit the doorbell, knock a few times, and after a few minutes, proceed to call. On the first ring, customer opens the door with a look of disgust, says, "how long are you going to stand there, would work better if you rang the doorbell"
" I did ring the doorbell, and knocked and called you" she spins around to head-in, and proceeds to reach behind her around the door and gits the doorbell a few times to realize it no longer works. Good, im thinking to myself. I go in, i say, " i apologize, i dont have any notes or information on my order, as what i am working on here"
" Your here for the refrigerator "
" Awesome, whats wrong with it? "
" It sounds like a swarm of bees "
" Its probably the compressor, when is the last time it sounded like that? "
" It actually, just ended 10 minutes before you got here"
" Ok, how long before it will do it again do you think? "
She lowers her head a little, with a funny look, and says,
" Are you alright? "
" Ughh yeah i think so, why do you ask that? "
" You dont look alright, as a matter of fact, you sound drunk " raises her hand points to the front door,
" Get out of my house right now"
" Ok, you enjoy the rest of your day mam "

One of the strangest calls ive ever had. Hands down.

So that was a first, customers water broke,, husband wasnt close enough, so i stopped my repair, drove mama2be to the hospital, and once husband got there i drove her car back, finished the repair, and im still running on schedule!!!

Alright. I haven't touched this page in quite some time. That is gonna change. I just lost my Number ive had for over 2 decades, so if any of you are in need of appliance help my new number is (603) 493-9895 Im back in New England, and I dont plan on moving again. So your all gonna have to deal with it!!! P.S. i do plan to get the old Number back, i just dont know how long before that happens.

Note to all my fellow techs, if you try to order a lid lock from GE for a top loading washer, (WH1X24114 OR WH1X27954) it will supercede to WH08X31577 a new lock "kit" which has the lock, new strikes, and the wire harness is now built-in to the switch. The only problem is, it will not work with spring loaded strikes. I will update this post if I figure out anything new or a work around. At the moment I am ordering up any of the original lid locks that I can find, to have them. But if the repair is a manufacturer warrantied machine, GE only pays the claim for parts they supply. So you'll only be able to repair extended warranty machines and non-warranty orders.
