Juneteenth events in the Hudson Valley! But first, quick history lesson: Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

It is a celebration of freedom & Black resilience, but also reminds us to recognize & remember the injustices of the past so we can work to ensure they are not repeated.

This week, we had the honor of featuring Guiding Eyes for the Blind as our Member Monday spotlight!

Guiding Eyes has been changing lives by raising and training guide dogs for people who are blind or visually impaired. They also provide specially trained guide dogs for individuals who are deafblind and are the only organization in the country that trains running guide dogs.

Their work is made possible by a network of volunteers and foster families who help raise, socialize, and care for future guide dogs. Whether you’re interested in fostering a puppy, volunteering, making a donation, or supporting their Amazon Wishlist, there are many ways to get involved.

Visit their page(tagged) or website(below)to learn more about their mission and see how you can help support these remarkable dogs and the lives they help transform!

This just in: a brand new bombshell has entered the villa! 😱

No, but really, you don’t have to be a bombshell to find a connection here. Networking is basically pulling somebody for a chat anyway. Join the Chamber and the possibilities are endless, maybe you’ll even find love!

We asked our members to pass the mic to each other without telling us who and they did not disappoint! Watch along to guess who they’re hinting at! 😉

Which one made you say ‘TRUE’? Tag em! 🤪
