The Peekskill Trolley is no longer in operation.

As the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." Yesterday, some of my crew and I took a last ride around Peekskill on Stella. Although very sad, we got to reflect on the many ways that Stella impacted Peekskill and the surrounding areas. She made so many happy memories for dozens and dozens of wedding parties. She put more smiles on children's faces that we can count and had more pictures taken of her than most Rock Stars. We do not know what the future holds for Stella, but she will always be remembered as "Stella, The Peekskill Trolley." Thanks to everyone who ever rode on her or waved at us as we drove by, we will miss you.

Grab your friends, your favorite PJ's, and your favorite holiday "spirits" for a magical holiday adventure. Group tours, 20-person minimum, are available 8:30 p.m. Fri., Sat., Sun through December. We did our first "Trolley tour and Tea Party" on Saturday. It was wonderful. Shout out to Kathleen's "Traveling" Tea Room for the fabulous Tea Party on the banks of the Hudson River at Peekskill's beautiful Riverfront Green park.

I have received the most heartwarming responses to my last post, and I want to thank everyone for their beautiful comments. But, I received one especially moving response from a bride that we were honored to transport on her special day. And, she included a beautiful painting that hangs on a wall in her home, that I just have to share with you all. She was kind enough to grant me permission to do so.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that we will be shutting down operations at the end of this year. Not sure what is next for Stella, but I will keep everyone posted. It has been a wonderful ten years. Stella has had thousands of pictures taken of her and put a million or more smiles on people's faces, especially the little ones who rode on the North Pole Express. Attached are pictures from her last charter, which took place this morning. Stella has driven the Rivertown Runners to the Annual Turkey Trot race at Rockland State Park for most of Stella's ten years since arriving in Peekskill. I will be putting together a video of Stella throughout her years as The Peekskill Trolley, and thanking all who helped her throughout these past ten years. As soon as it is ready, I will be posting it for all to see. Thank you everyone.
