Where family, friends and faith come together. The mission of the Union Hill Church is to encourage all people to accept God’s free gift of salvation and to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; to equip believers for ministry and service to others through discipleship and teaching; to promote fellowship among God’s people; and to provide an atmosphere of worship in the freedom of the Holy Spirit.

A father leaves more than a name.
He leaves an example.

We’re thankful for the godly fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who help point the next generation toward Christ.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30am as we celebrate Father’s Day.

Tuesday Truth -
Is anyone else still feasting on Emilee’s Homecoming Youth Takeover message from Wednesday? Today’s Tuesday Truth was inspired by that message.

In April of 1865, after four long years of war, General Robert E. Lee met General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox. Lee's army was exhausted. His men were hungry. They were surrounded and out of options.

He could have continued fighting. Many would have expected him to. But Lee recognized a reality he could no longer change. So he surrendered.

The surrender at Appomattox wasn't the end of a battle, it was the beginning of healing.

Many of us are fighting battles that look very different, but feel just as exhausting. We fight to control situations. We fight to change people. We fight to make things work the way we think they should. We hold on tightly, believing that if we just try harder, worry more, or push longer, we'll finally get the outcome we want.

But sometimes God asks us a difficult question: "Can you trust Me enough to stop fighting?"

Jesus faced that question in the Garden of Gethsemane. Knowing the suffering that lay ahead, He prayed, "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." (Luke 22:42, KJV)

Jesus didn't surrender because He was weak. He surrendered because He trusted the Father completely.

The same God who carried Jesus through the cross is able to carry you through whatever you're facing today.

Maybe you've been fighting a burden that belongs to God. Maybe you've been trying to force open a door He hasn't opened. Maybe you've been carrying a weight He never intended for you to bear.

What if peace isn't found in fighting harder?
What if peace is found in finally placing it in God's hands?
Surrender isn't the end of hope. It's often where hope begins.

Sometimes the fighting ends when we finally trust God enough to say, "Not my will, but Thine be done."

Yesterday we celebrated 105 years of God’s faithfulness. Today, we’re looking toward the future. We promised 3 big announcements, and here is the third!

Building on Our Past.
Supporting Our Future.

For 105 years, Union Hill Church has been a place where lives are changed by the Gospel.

As God continues to bless and grow our church family, we believe it’s time to prepare for the next generation.

We’re excited to officially announce the launch of the Union Hill Church Building Fund.

You can now give directly to the Building Fund through the church app.

Why are we building?

Because we believe the best days of Union Hill Church are still ahead. We aren’t simply building a sanctuary.
We’re building a place where future generations can encounter Jesus.

Many mighty Saints of God invested in this church before us. Now it’s our turn to invest in those who come after us.

As we celebrate 105 years of ministry, we’re excited to unveil the second of three big announcements: new features in the Union Hill Church app designed to help people connect, grow, and take their next step with Jesus.

At Union Hill Church, we believe salvation isn’t the finish line, it’s the starting line. That’s why we’ve added a brand-new Discipleship section to our app. Whether you’ve been serving God for 50 years or 5 days, everyone has a next step to take.

Topics include:
• Understanding Your Salvation
• You and Your Bible
• The Power of Prayer
• The Role of the Local Church
• Overcoming Temptation
• Stewardship
• Sharing Your Faith
• Lifelong Discipleship

We’ve also added a new Connect Card directly inside the app.

If you’re new to Union Hill Church, have recently visited, need prayer, or want information about a ministry, the Connect Card is the easiest way to let us know. We never want someone to walk through our doors and wonder what happens next. This gives us a simple way to connect with you and help you get plugged in.

Download the app, explore the new features, and take your next step today.

For 105 years, generations before us prayed, sacrificed, built, and served so that we could enjoy what we have today. Now it’s our turn.

Today we’ll be sharing three exciting steps forward as we continue building Union Hill Church. Here is the first!

🌳 Introducing ROOTED Children’s Ministry 🌳

We’re so excited to introduce a new name and vision for our children’s ministry: ROOTED
Growing in Faith. Deepening Our Roots. Impacting the World.

For more than a century, Union Hill has been committed to helping children know Jesus, grow in His Word, and serve His Kingdom. While our ministry has grown and changed over the years, our mission has remained the same.

The name ROOTED reflects our desire to help children develop a faith that goes deeper than weekly attendance to have a faith that is firmly planted in Christ and continues to grow throughout their lives.

ROOTED stands for:
🌱 R – Remain in Christ
📖 O – Obey God’s Word
🤝 O – Outreach to Others
🧭 T – Trust God’s Plan
⚒️ E – Equip Disciples
🌳 D – Develop Leaders

Along with this new ministry name, our classes will now be known as:

🌱 Acorns – Our youngest learners, discovering that God loves them and has a purpose for their lives.

🌿 Sprouts – Growing in faith, learning God’s Word, and beginning to live it out.

🌳 Mighty Oaks – Developing strong roots, bold faith, servant hearts, and leadership that will impact the next generation.

These names give us the flexibility to serve our children well as classes grow and change over time, while keeping every child connected to the same mission and vision.

Our prayer is that every child who walks through our doors will become deeply rooted in Christ, growing in faith and prepared to impact the world around them. That today’s Acorns, Sprouts, and Mighty Oaks will become tomorrow’s Sunday school teachers, worship leaders, pastors, missionaries, and faithful followers of Christ.

Because discipleship starts young.

🌟 Another incredible night at Homecoming Revival!

Last night’s message by Darren Lore on “Fighting for a Faith-Filled Family” reminded us of the importance of taking authority over our homes and families. The altars were lined with those seeking strength and renewal for their families! What a powerful night!

Join us tonight at 7 as we continue to celebrate 105 years of God’s faithfulness. Don’t miss your moment! ❤️
