Did you know we have several department members who are also CPR Instructors? If you are wanting to get CPR and first aid certified, let us know.
It is CPR Week! Hands-Only CPR Can Save Lives! If you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of any tune that is 100 to 120 beats per minute, such as the classic disco song "Stayin' Alive".

With the levy failing, we are actively monitoring our budget and making changes to be able to serve the residents of Adams County as long as possible. Overtime has been limited which in turn has left gaps in our schedules. If there is not a person to fill a shift, stations are being closed for that shift. When that happens we will close station 400 (West Union) first and then station 500 (Green township) next. This means that there could be an increased response time when you call 9-1-1. While this is difficult for us, we want to be transparent about what is happening moving forward. If you have any questions please reach out. Please bear with us while we are adjusting our schedule. We will do our best to maintain coverage for as many people as we can.
