I saw these buckles for prizes for a Serama show and loved them! The kids and adults could wear them and bring more awareness to our little birds!! ❤️

Check out the difference between Exchequer and Mottled Seramas
Exchequer and mottled in Seramas share the same basic genetic, but exchequer is a "hyper-mottled" expression with higher white-to-black contrast.
While typical mottled Seramas have black feathers with white tips, exchequers feature a bold, 50/50 mix of solid black and solid white feathers, often resembling a chessboard pattern.
Key Differences in Seramas:
Feather Pattern: Mottled birds have white spots on individual feathers, whereas exchequers have entirely white feathers mixed with entirely black feathers.
Appearance: Exchequer presents a much "splashier" or "cow-spotted" look compared to the finer speckling of standard mottled birds.
Genetics: They are genetically similar (both involving the mottled gene), but exchequer is developed through selective breeding to enhance the white expression.
Showing: Exchequer is an accepted color for American Bantam Association (ABA) Serama shows, requiring a 60% black / 40% white balance, while mottling is generally less bold.
Aging: Both types generally get whiter with each subsequent molt.
Both patterns are highly valued in the Serama community for their unique, often contrasting, plumage.
