Our Story
Trimera Health was established over a decade ago by our very own Dr. Rebecca Maxwell. With traditional psychiatry in mind, Dr. Rebecca Maxwell is motivated to offer a new kind of comprehensive treatment that helps heal the whole person. Trimera Health’s name is derived from the Greek root words, “tri” and “mer,” which mean “three parts.” Our name embodies our philosophy to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to achieve complete wellness.

To help ring in 2025, Trimera Health is proud to announce the addition of our new clinician, Dr. Hillary Smith! Dr. Smith is a board certified adult Psychiatrist. She received her medical
degree from Louisiana State University Health Shreveport before completing residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge.
She treats a wide range of psychiatric disorders such as mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, and ADHD.
