Guess This Bulldog Reveal!

Our second Guess This Bulldog was a tough one! We had some great guesses, but no one was able to correctly identify our featured Bulldog.

Meet Heather Mecham, Barnett's Special Education Counselor!

Heather was born and raised in the Nebo School District. She studied Architecture at the University of Utah before earning her School Counseling degree from Capella University. She finds her work as a Special Education Counselor both rewarding and exciting and loves supporting the students at Barnett.

Heather and her husband enjoy traveling, trying new experiences, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends. Whether they're seeking adventure or enjoying a cozy evening at home, they value the time they spend together.

Heather believes life is best enjoyed with good conversation, plenty of laughter, and the people you care about most.

We are grateful to have Heather as part of the Barnett family and appreciate all she does for our students each day.

Guess This Bulldog Reveal!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our very first Guess This Bulldog challenge! Many of you correctly identified our featured staff member—Mrs. Donace Vasquez!

Originally from Payson and now a resident of Santaquin, Mrs. Vasquez brings a wealth of experience and dedication to Barnett Elementary. Before joining our team as a first-grade teacher, she spent nine years serving as a kindergarten technician at Apple Valley Elementary.

Mrs. Vasquez is happily married and enjoys spending time with her family, which includes four children, one son-in-law, and two beloved grand-dogs. In her free time, she loves thrifting, searching for antiques, and discovering unique treasures. One of her greatest joys is supporting her youngest daughter as a cheerleader and cheering her on from the sidelines at sporting events.

We are grateful to have Mrs. Vasquez as part of the Barnett family and hope you've enjoyed getting to know the first featured Bulldog in our summer series. Stay tuned for our next Guess This Bulldog challenge coming soon!

Summer Fun with the Barnett Staff!

Think you know our amazing Barnett staff? Put your detective skills to the test this summer with our "Guess This Bulldog" series!

We'll be sharing childhood and baby photos of our staff members along with a few fun clues. Your challenge is to see if you can figure out who they are before the big reveal!

What an exciting and adventure-filled few weeks it has been in fourth grade!

Our fourth graders have been busy learning, creating, exploring, and having an absolute blast through so many incredible hands-on activities and projects! From exciting STEM challenges that got students thinking like engineers and inventors, to stepping back in time during our Mountain Man Rendezvous, these students have been fully engaged every step of the way.

Students also worked hard researching and presenting their county reports, showing off their creativity, teamwork, and all the knowledge they’ve gained. We are so proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and amazing work our fourth graders put into every project!

Learning has definitely been full of fun, adventure, and unforgettable memories these past few weeks. Great job, fourth grade! A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for your time, support, and willingness to help out! We truly appreciate everything you do for our students and school community. 🐾
