Payson HS AVID

AVID students recently visited the University of AZ as part of their college tours. The best way to get comfortable on a college campus is to visit!

PHS AVID students got to present at PES in Mrs. Gonzalez’s class. It is a great experience for the elementary students to hear from the high school students, as well as a chance to improve presenting skills!

If you are able, please consider donating blood in Feburary for the blood drive at PHS sponsored by AVID.

Mrs. Lindsay’s AVID I class got to attend Army National Guard Mission Day at PHS today and participate in a number of simulated life-saving missions. Way to accept the challenge!

At Payson High School, the AVID, Culinary, and Veterans Heritage Project programs held a breakfast for the first responders on 9/11. The breakfast went great, and we (AVID) hope our guests enjoyed their time and food. We would like to thank all the responders who came to the breakfast. Their company was greatly appreciated, and our hosting organizations are beyond grateful for what they do for our community. We are happy to have had the opportunity to commemorate our heroic responders within our community, and we hope that everybody who came had a great time and come again next year
