Special election ballots for a Payson pool bond and a Pine-Strawberry Fire District bond have been sent out and officials are urging voters to ensure their ballots are returned on time. Ballots must be dropped off by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 4, to be counted. The deadline to return ballots by mail is Oct. 28.

Patrons of Smashley’s Coffee Company were greeted by team members from Copper State Credit Union on Pay it Forward Day, Oct. 14. As part of the Arizona Credit Union Week celebration, Copper State Credit Union partnered with the locally owned coffee shop to provide free drinks and pastries during its morning “happy hour” from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Our Story
The Roundup is the primary news and advertising source for the picturesque communities that lie below the Mogollon Rim in central Arizona. In 2017, the Roundup celebrated its 80th anniversary. The paper was named Non-Daily Newspaper of the Year in 2015, winning a total of 14 times since 1999.
In 2017, the Payson Roundup was awarded both the non-daily Journalist of the Year and the Photographer of the Year, according to the Arizona Newspapers Association.
