Today, the Payson City Business Innovation Center honors the brave men and women who gave their lives for our nation.

We remember their sacrifice.

The Waiting Place Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting people navigating grief, loss, and life’s difficult transitions. Founded by Patti Merrill, a chaplain-in-training and bereaved parent and widow, the organization is built on the belief that no one should have to walk through grief alone. The Waiting Place seeks to create spaces—both in person and online—where people can be seen, heard, and supported as they process loss, build resilience, and rediscover hope. Through education, community connection, and compassionate support, the mission is to help individuals move through grief with courage, meaning, and healing.
