That time

Just had a boat come open on the 12th if anybody is ready to go catching!

High winds didn’t stop the captains at Shaggy's Harbor Bar & Grill from hanging out with friends at the dock this evening. Good times.

Came across an awesome 501c3 organization last week called Autism Anglers. Ordered some stickers and a killer long sleeve performance shirt. Too windy today to put the decals on the Tommy St.Clair Designs pirate ship, but I’ll get it done tomorrow. Expect pics and also a little about the organization, their mission and why it’s important to me.

Try to squeeze one in on the weatherman….

BTC Business Highlight #1

Owner - Cameron Schwartz. Cameron is a life long coast resident and veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was also lead mechanic for a local boat dealership for almost 20 years before deciding to open his own shop. Cameron has also been a leader in the community through youth soccer leagues as well as being the assistant coach for Pass Christian High School girls soccer program.

To say Cameron keeps BTC going would be an understatement.

This season I’d like to highlight small businesses that BTC has experience and confidence in. As inflation and rising fuel costs are starting to squeeze “mom and pop’s” out of business, it has never been more important to support each other.

I try to support businesses in these ways;

1. Support businesses my friends own. We are all coming up together!

2. Spend my money with people who spend money with me. It’s just good business.

3. Support locally owned business. Keep your money in the community.

So at least once a week, I will highlight a business here. Please, take a second to share posts you like and spread the word about high quality, locally owned businesses.

In light of surging fuel prices, we will be adding a fuel surcharge to our trips. We decided to implement this surcharge instead of raising our base rates so that when prices return to a more normal rate, we can return to normal as well.

BTC apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and we look forward to seeing all the familiar faces soon!

Not a bad week of fishing to end 2021. Heavy fog most days but I guess that’s the price you have to pay for 75* temps in late December 😂

In case you were wondering….doughnuts got made. 😂.

Today’s hot baits were a Pure Flats “Lil Slick” in Swamp Thing color. Worked slow over reefs under a cork. Water temp was 64* and the fish were a little lethargic.

Took two of my favorites on a little afternoon meat haul….mission accomplished.

Key this afternoon was Lil Slicks in “cracked pepper” from Pure Flats and live shrimp from B&W Live Bait. Add in a rising afternoon tide and that was the recipe.

Finally feels like fall!

Fall is near and October is almost fully booked. We still have Oct 5-6, and 25-30 open. Looking forward to some cool weather and hot fishing!
