One of my favorite weekends of the year is coming up next weekend! February 6-8 is the Biloxi Boat Show! Once again, I am blessed enough to host Kids fishing 101 at the show. This event will happen Saturday and Sunday.

Your kids will learn about fishing, boat safety, and our environment from industry professionals. Fishing with Buddies is coming back to the Shaggy's Harbor Bar & Grill Dock this Oct 14. We will have a makeup day on the 16th in the case of inclement weather on the 14th. The event will start at 4:30 with food and fellowship immediately following on the dock.

Several years ago I was asked to participate in a Fishing with Buddies event in Gulfport and I fell in love with it. Mike Crawford runs Buddy Sports here on the coast and was happy to allow me to organize a fall event in Pass Christian. We will take a large group of special needs people of all ages out to enjoy an after on the water. This experience is very meaningful to them and something they really look forward to. My days just got a little easier at the cleaning table. My good friends at sordfishingproducts sent me a new package just in time today. A couple months ago they sent a super flex for trout. Literally 3 days ago they asked if I needed anything else. We are still catching Tripletail and headed into redfish season so I made a few wishes. The shipment showed up a few hours before we got in today and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys!

Well, that happened today! Not a whole lot of things that can happen in the MS Sound that I can call a first at this point. Today we found one. My gracious client and friend Lester Conley took a few shots at this fish and then said you try. I admittedly know almost zero about fly fishing! His first few shots were with a standard fly. He had a second rod already rigged with a topwater popper. Just before I got the rod I said let’s show him something different, grab that other one.

My first cast and this thing inhaled it! First Tripletail on a fly and on topwater to boot! Great afternoon!

IYKYK! If you don’t you should! A few weeks ago Don Gautier called me about putting a floor in one of his boats. During the conversation I realized he was the guy that makes the big cane poles. Decked Out Solutions LLC is doing his boat floor tomorrow but I got my pole last week. Pat Delaney one of my all time favorite clients has been here for almost a week. We have floundered (forgot pics) and spent three days playing with the new Cane pole!
This has taken things to a whole new level! There aren’t many things that “excite” me about fishing anymore other than watching people enjoy it but this is pretty dang awesome!
