Drunken Library
An abandoned chest of roistering literature for the drunk and rampant reader. A place where readers drink and drinkers think. Please write to us. Read. Drink.
Drunken Library began in 2012 with the gathering of previously published poetry and prose for the online reader. We share exquisite literature and resources for writers, artists and teachers so that they may be nourished and informed. This September we will be accepting submissions of essays and reviews. Write. Enjoy.

Drinking amazing wine and reading old poems is a perfect date night. Found a hidden gem where they bring you the bill in a romance novel 🍷🥰❤️ oh I will be back!

This book really took me for a spin. 🐍 Rattlesnakes, Coca-cola, gambling, Los Angeles, Reno, ci******es, and God — a world where NOTHING APPLIES—got me thinking about my world where everything applies. What I do, who I do it with and on what I focus my time matters. And for that I am beyond grateful. Does it matter for you? As far as anyone knows, you could be playing the game holding all the aces.

Whoof. In the introduction, when David Thomson says it’s a tough and cool read, he’s astonishingly accurate. Halfway through I have to break from watching Maria’s numbness — It’s asking me to be numb back. Yikes.
