I was hungry.

Ironic, since I had just returned home from spending 72 hours at the Indianapolis Great Banquet where the snacks and meals never ceased. But my nonstop consumption halted when I left the church, and now my stomach was growling.

I opened the fridge—empty. The freezer? A lone Lean Cuisine stared back at me.

What a contrast this was from the weekend-long feast I had just enjoyed—not only literally but, more importantly, emotionally and spiritually.

As I nibbled on my gravy-laden roasted turkey chunks with crunchy green beans, it hit me. This Lean Cuisine was a fitting metaphor for how I lived for years. While an abundant feast awaited me, I had been settling for things that were unsatisfying, just like the frozen dinner before me. I had continued to trudge along, not thriving but merely existing.

Are you doing the same thing? Just trudging along, going through the motions?

The abundant life is waiting for you.

Jesus didn't just come to give us a mundane life of existence—or one centered on amassing material wealth. The abundant life He offers is about a deep, personal relationship with the Creator.

If you're wondering how to actually experience that "abundant life" in the middle of a chaotic week, look back a few verses to John 10:3–4:

"The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice." 🐑

What a powerful reminder of how He loves us:
- He knows you: He calls you by name, intimately and personally.
- He protects you: He goes before you into every situation.
- He guides you: He leads you out of the valleys and into His peace.

You don't have to figure out this life all on your own. You just have to listen to the One who already knows the way. Rest in His guidance today! 💟

"Home" has been on my heart this week as I settled back into my house here in Indiana. As much as I love where I live, I’m reminded that this dwelling place is only temporary. My true, eternal home is in heaven.

Home. 🏠 When we hear that word, we usually think of a physical place. But a true home is more than just walls and floors—it’s a sense of belonging and a space where life’s hardest lessons are learned.

Just like a physical building, our lives and our families are built on a foundation. But what happens when the storms hit? ⛈️
