A new Starbucks location, Store #83438, is slated to open Friday, May 15 at 8457 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena.
The building previously housed Wendy’s and has since been redeveloped into a Starbucks with a drive-thru.

Dave Martin’s barbershop is more than just a place for a haircut - it’s a Pasadena institution built on connection, conversation, and community.
“I always liked the way I felt after a haircut,” Martin said. “How cool is it to give somebody that feeling?”
That sense of care became the foundation for Dave's Barbershop, located at 8468 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena – a place that already held personal significance long before Martin became its owner. As a child, it was the very spot where his parents brought him for haircuts.

Forty years after his death on May 1, 1986, Chief Edwin E. “Boots” Raynor is still remembered as one of the most influential figures in Anne Arundel County’s volunteer fire service.
A lifelong Pasadena resident, Raynor devoted more than four decades to the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , where his leadership, mentorship, and commitment to service helped shape both the department and the broader fire community he served.

On April 28, the Pasadena Business Association and the Lake Shore-Severna Park Rotary proudly hosted the Community Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Venice On The Bay Community Hall, recognizing some of the area’s most outstanding graduating high school seniors.
This year marked the first time the two organizations partnered to create a joint scholarship program for graduating seniors residing in Pasadena and Severna Park.
The response from the community was tremendous, with 72 student applications submitted for consideration. In total, 19 scholarships were awarded, helping support students as they pursue higher education and trade school opportunities.

Fresh off a commanding 11-1 victory over Severn Run High School, the Eagles continue to prove why they’re one of the most formidable teams in the county. What began as a close two-run game in their previous outing quickly turned into a decisive, ten-run showcase on Monday afternoon, marking yet another lopsided win in a season already full of them.
Northeast has now secured five victories by ten runs or more, a testament to both their depth and dominance.
