2026 is a milestone year for us! While Leading Edge Aviation Solutions has evolved over time, our roots in business aviation trace back to 1966, when our founder Joseph Carfagna Sr. began a career that would influence the next six decades of business aviation.

This year, we’re proud to recognize 60 years of experience, honoring the history, milestones, and memories that built our foundation and the people and relationships that continue to define who we are today. Throughout 2026, we’ll be sharing moments from our journey as we celebrate the legacy behind Leading Edge. We look forward to looking back with you!

Craig recently graduated from West Virginia University and joins LEAS full-time as an Aircraft Market Analyst after completing three summer internships with us. He will support our sales team with market research, valuations, and data-driven insights. We’re excited to have him on board!

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our longtime colleague and friend, Joseph “Joe E.” Esmerado, at the age of 82.
 
Joe E. spent his career shaping and supporting the aircraft maintenance community. A recipient of the prestigious Charles M. Taylor Master Mechanic Award, he was recognized for more than five decades of dedicated service and technical excellence in aviation maintenance.
 
His aviation journey began in the U.S. Navy aboard the Intrepid during the Vietnam era and continued through leadership roles at Butler Aviation, JetAm, Jet Aviation, and Raytheon. At Leading Edge, we trusted Joe E. to oversee client pre-purchase inspections, manage maintenance programs, and evaluate aircraft with an unmatched level of care and integrity.
 
Beyond his expertise, Joe was known for his humor, warmth, and the genuine relationships he built across our industry. He touched countless people throughout his career, and his lasting impact as a mentor, friend and true gentleman will not be forgotten.
 
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and all who knew him.
