October 16 marks the anniversary of William T.G. Morton's demonstration of ether as a surgical anesthetic in 1846, changing surgery forever. As we celebrate , we honor the innovation that made modern anesthesia possible and the anesthesiologists who uphold the excellence of standards every day through board certification.
