30 plus years ago, the first salon I worked at the owner was half Japanese. She always insisted that we clean the salon, and especially take out all the trash on new year's eve before midnight, and that was her tradition in her home. I brought that tradition to my house and have done the same for many years. I believe my children. Are you doing the same or at least they seem to remember On new year's eve that the trash needs to go out.
This video is a wonderful example (Beautifully filmed video,) of this tradition, as well as my new hobby in slow stitching. Two weeks ago we created zokin's and I plan on making many more with the worn out kitchen towels.
