Coding is becoming part of school education around the world, and that’s a powerful step forward.

A generation ago, most students had never heard the word “coding.” Today, children are being introduced to programming, AI, robotics, and computational thinking at increasingly younger ages.

This is especially important in underserved communities, where access to technology education can open doors to opportunities that may not have existed before.

But introducing coding into the curriculum raises an important question:

Who is teaching it?

Many schools have received computers, internet access, and digital learning resources. Yet in many underserved regions, there is still a shortage of trained STEM educators who can confidently teach computer science and guide students through hands-on learning.

Technology alone cannot inspire curiosity, build confidence, or help students overcome challenges.

Teachers do that.

A computer lab can provide access.

A teacher helps students discover what’s possible.

As we work to expand coding and STEM education, investing in teacher training and support must remain a priority—especially in communities where educational resources are already limited.

The future may be powered by AI, coding, robotics, and data science.

But every future innovator still begins with a teacher.

What do you think is the most effective way to expand quality STEM education in underserved communities?

Overcoming Barriers, Inspiring Innovators: CO & Magadh Higher Secondary School, India collaboration 06/10/2026

Our Mission: Empowering a community where education is accessible to everyone

Code Orbit, USA recently completed its Game Design Project in collaboration with Magadh Higher Secondary School, Kujapi-Gaya, India. What began as a small initiative became an inspiring example of how learning, determination, and community support can overcome challenges.

We started with students who had very limited access to technology. Many shared mobile devices, some had never created an online account, and several students were unfamiliar with basic digital tools such as web browsers or online meeting platforms. Language was another challenge, as many students were not comfortable communicating in English.

Despite these obstacles, our mentors Afia Khanam & Priyanshi Srivastava adapted by using their bilingual communication skills and creating a welcoming learning environment. This international collaboration was a first-time experience for both the students and mentors, bringing together people from different cultures, languages, and time zones. What stood out most was the enthusiasm on both sides. Students continued joining in greater numbers each session, while mentors remained committed to supporting and encouraging every learner.

Throughout the program, we learned that meaningful education is not limited by resources, language, geography, or time differences. When people are united by a desire to learn and help others, barriers become opportunities for growth.

The transformation was remarkable. Students who initially did not know how to join an online meeting or create a Scratch account successfully designed and built their own mini video game projects. More importantly, they discovered that technology and mobile devices can be powerful tools for creativity, learning, and innovation—not just entertainment.

We are incredibly proud of every student who participated and grateful to all parents, teachers, and supporters for their encouragement throughout the journey. Your overwhelming response made this program a success.

At Code Orbit, we remain committed to expanding access to AI, coding, and technology education for students from diverse educational and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of innovators by creating opportunities for hands-on, accessible, and meaningful learning experiences.

Thank you to everyone who made this project possible. We look forward to launching more programs, workshops, and learning opportunities in the future.
