Pawsitive Canine Massage Plus

This weekend was fantastic!!! I was surrounded by love and positive energy, 💕 I had the fabulous opportunity to work on all four of these sweet babies. 💗🐾 Bubba, the newest rescue, was very excited to meet someone new. I began with energy healing techniques and he quickly calmed down. He loved Lavender and Peace and Calming essential oils too. Not only was he interested in the bottle, he kept following my hand and sniffing the oils. 😄 All four dogs had a turn of massage and/or energy healing or a combination. It was so glad to see them all benefit from our session! 💗🐾

Did you know that the tiny vertical groove between a dog’s nose and upper lip isn’t just a random detail? It’s actually called the philtrum — or sometimes the vegetal groove — and it serves a fascinating purpose!

Each time a dog licks its lips, a bit of saliva collects in that groove. Thanks to capillarization, that moisture travels up to the nose, helping keep it damp. And here’s why that matters: a moist nose is far better at capturing scent particles from the air. 🌬️✨

That little groove plays a big role in what makes a dog’s sense of smell so extraordinary. Nature really thought of everything, didn’t it? 🐶💛
