Throughout the Season of Creation, we’re sharing “Living Water” through the eyes and reflections of members of our Passionist family and friends.

“The Hudson River is living water for me because it is so peaceful and full of wildlife.”

💧 Water is essential to life, but how often do we stop to consider the many ways we depend on it?

Throughout this Season of Creation, we’ve been reflecting on water as a sacred gift and our responsibility to care for it.

Our Laudato Si’ Team has gathered 9 resources to help you take that reflection a little deeper. Explore the global water crisis, calculate your own water footprint, reflect on the teachings of Laudato Si’ and discover ways to turn greater awareness into action.

Even when our own burdens feel overwhelming, Christ reminds us that we do not carry them alone. May we find strength today in the One who walks with us through every trial.

🌎 Everything is connected.

In the fourth reflection of “Forming Conscience in Extraordinary Times,” theologian and Passionist Family member Carl Middleton explores integral ecology, the understanding that care for creation cannot be separated from care for people, communities and our shared human well-being.

Through the lens of the Passionist charism, Carl invites us to recognize the suffering around us, including the suffering of the Earth, and consider how compassion might move us toward prayer and concrete action.
