Updated w/ an Answer and thanks for those that contributed: Real Estate Question: As a prospective purchaser, should you attend your own home inspection on a property you are about to purchase? Answer: it is shocking how many individuals do not attend their own inspection, but that is not a good idea for the clients and the agents that they are working for said client. There is just too much involved in the inspection process, so much to learn about the house you are purchasing and/or the client may have different concerns than those of an agent. From an agent’s perspective: we think it wise to have your clients present. You assume an enormous amount of liability by attending the closing without your client.
