There's still time to tell us why YOU love District 207 and being a Hawk! The deadline to submit your reasons for the district's "207 Reasons Why We Love District 207" presentation has been extended! 🎉

As you may know, the district is putting together a presentation for our opening day ceremony with staff next school year that will feature 207 reasons why our community (this means you!) loves District 207. We’re inviting you to join in the fun and asking that you submit a brief write up (and photo) about what you love about District 207.

Maine South High School’s award-winning, student-run newspaper, Southwords, has won multiple awards this year from numerous school press associations around the country including the Kettle Moraine Press Association (KEMPA), the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA), the Northern Illinois School Press Association (NISPA) and the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA)! 📝

Congratulations to Maggie Potaczek (11th grade) for earning 2nd Place in the world in the Principles of Marketing event at the DECA International Career Development Conference—an exceptional achievement that places her among the top 0.04% of competitors globally! 🎉

Congratulations to Maine South student Jane Nuich (12th grade) for being named Best Actress in a Musical by the Illinois High School Musical Theatre Awards (IHSMTA) for her portrayal of Eurydice in the musical production, Hadestown: Teen Edition! 🎉

We're excited to share that Maine South's Band Director, David Hutter, was named a by a the Foundation ! One of 30 winners nationwide, Mr. Hutter will receive a stipend for his classroom, tailored PD, and will attend an awards ceremony in Nashville, TN!
