🏃‍♂️ Hawk Pride on Full Display!

What a fantastic day at Axehead Lake for our annual Cross Country Alumni Run! It was great catching up with 25+ Maine South Alumni before and after the race, sharing stories, laughs, and plenty of team spirit.

In a thrilling finish, the Alumni team pulled off the upset, edging out the varsity squad 26–29. 👏

🥇 Tom Brady (‘19) took the win, blazing through the 5k in 15:30.
🥈 Collin Frye led the varsity with a strong 16:07 for 2nd overall.

The friendly competition and camaraderie across generations of Hawks was incredible to witness. A huge thank you to everyone who came out, today was a reminder of the lifelong bonds built through Maine South Cross Country. ❤️🖤

A new era begins!
Our first practice of the season under new Head Coach Dave Fermanich was a huge success. Energy, focus, and determination were on full display. Today marks the start of our 90-day journey back to the state meet—let’s make it happen! 🏃‍♂️💨

Varsity Hawks soar high in Alumni race! It was great seeing the alumni come out and run against the team.

Don't miss the Fall Sports Showcase on Aug 23rd at Wilson Field Track, where the freshmen squad and rest of the team will race in one mile time trials beginning at 4:30PM. Come cheer on the Hawks!

Calling all MSXC alumni… come out this Saturday to Axehead Lake (294 & Touhy) and run against (or watch) this year’s time trial for the Varsity squad. The varsity are hoping to avenge their loss last year to an impressive alumni squad. Freshman will have a 2 mile time trial as well.

The 2024-25 Cross Country season officially starts at 3:30pm today.
