I had a great time working with Larry Barker along with pastors and leaders from the BMAA (Baptist Missionary Association of America) as they hosted a Coaching Summit to help create a stronger coaching culture throughout their organization.

Satan doesn’t just oppose God’s work – he mimics it.

Counterfeit signs, wonders, and teachings can appear spiritual, but lead to deception.
In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul warns of false miracles that draw people away from truth. The antidote? A deep love for truth and Spirit-led discernment.

Not every closed door means “no” from God – sometimes it’s resistance from the enemy.

In 1 Thessalonians 2:18, Paul reminds us that Satan can obstruct even the most faithful leaders. That’s why discernment is critical. We need to hear God's voice – through His Word, His Spirit, our circumstances, and the community of faith.

Satan doesn’t always attack with force – sometimes he whispers lies, distorts truth, and clouds our perspective.

In Ephesians 6, Paul urges us to suit up in God’s armor because the battle is spiritual—and subtle. Half-truths, lingering sin, silence, doubt, and distraction are tools the enemy uses to pull leaders off mission.

This week in the Spiritual Warfare series, we unpack how to stand firm in truth and resist the enemy’s deception @ https://www.garyrohrmayer.com/blog/spiritual-warfare-series-devotional-8

Anger is not always the enemy – but unchecked anger can become a doorway for the enemy to gain influence.

This week in my Spiritual Warfare series, we’re exploring how unresolved anger can derail leaders, damage relationships, and give Satan a foothold (Eph. 4:25–27).

If anger has the wheel, it’s time to pause and reflect:
✅ Where is this coming from?
✅ Is it rooted in fear, hurt, or frustration?
✅ Am I letting it linger too long?

Healing begins with honesty. Leadership thrives in emotional maturity.

Not every voice that sounds spiritual is speaking truth.

In 2 Corinthians 11:14–15, Paul warns us that Satan and his servants can masquerade as light – using slick teaching and counterfeit wisdom to subtly lead believers off course.

This week in my Spiritual Warfare series, we’re diving into one of the enemy’s most dangerous tactics: deceptive leaders with appealing messages that distort the truth.

Discernment isn’t optional – it’s essential.
