The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is leveraging federal funds to help Illinois families access and afford home energy assistance and other essential services.
LIHEAP helps eligible households with low income pay for home energy services. This includes assistance with heating, gas, propane and electricity. The LIHEAP application period is Sept. 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023, or until funding is exhausted.
