It’s nearly Festival time! Mark your calendar!

A sure sign that Festival is coming soon! Our sponsor banner is up outside of City Hall at the south Riverview entrance to Parchment. Thank you to KAC Fundraiser Chairperson Jon Heasley, who worked to solicit our sponsor's gifts, Bob Cox of Sign Crafters, LLC here in Parchment for the sponsor banner, and of course, to all of our sponsors who, along with our member donors, make our summer programs possible! We are blessed with their belief in and generous support of our mission to bring the performing arts and Festival fun to Parchment for all to enjoy!

No Kindleberger Fesr race this year, but it should return in 2020.

We are sorry to post this news. The Kindleberger 5K/Fitness Walk and Kid's Fun Run will not be happening for Festival 2019. All who are currently registered will receive a full refund of their registration fee. The Festival Committee will work to get the race returned to the Festival schedule for 2020!

The flyers for Kindleberger Fest and the Summer Concert Series have gone to press and should be available soon.

The library is thrilled to host the 2nd annual Parchment School District Student Art Show! It will be on display through May 13.

I've read so many wonderful memories from Parchment people on this page.This is a great town with great stories! The Library has gathered nearly 100 oral histories over the years (you can listen to them on our Local History page at parchmentlibrary.org) and tonight we're launching a new effort to collect and preserve our town's history - Kindleberger Conversations. See below for all the details!

"Kindleberger Conversations"

Do you have great memories of Kindleberger Park? Maybe you recall sledding on Scout Hill, playing baseball, the development of the Stage project, or some other special event.

Share your Kindleberger park memories with Lee Griffin, Dave Person, or Cheryl Lyon-Jenness, who will record your conversation for the library's archives.

You're also welcome to join us just to listen to others' stories.

We meet the second Wednesday of each month, from 6:00-7:00 pm. Upcoming dates are October 10, and November 14 (not in December).
