Diners can get everything from breakfast to steak sandwiches, but cheeseburgers are the Fireplace's specialty. Voted as one of the "best burgers in NJ" by bergen.com, you can get them plain or add toppings (including their legendary pickles) on the side. The burgers range from a plain hamburger to the "Jersey" burger - a burger with cheese and taylor ham - to a buffalo burger or veggie burger. Fri

Just had breakfast at Daily Treat in Ridgewood. All the food is great quality and the best waffles in the area IMHO. Jon, the owner, has been running the biz and turning out great consistent food for decades. Support your local restaurants !!!

The Blue Brick-
In the 1960s-1970s Paramus and Ridgewood would have their big rivalry football game and afterwards both teams and fans would go to The Fireplace to hang out and eat. The Ridgewood players and fans would sit in one wing of the restaurant and the Paramus players and fans would sit in the other wing.
Eventually the two sides would meet at the front counter to order food and things would get heated. Words would be exchanged between rival players, cheerleaders, and fans and the place would empty out into the parking lot and there would be a rumble to end all rumbles to settle things. That’s just what happened back in the day.
When we were removing the bricks for the charity event we received a request for a “Paramus Brick.” We were then told by a long-time Paramus resident that Paramus fans painted some of the bricks on the breakfast side of the restaurant Paramus Blue to mark it as their side. There’s no maroon on the Ridgewood side because I guess the bricks are already maroon.
Pics below show the blue bricks. A few lucky people unknowingly received a Paramus Brick.

Fireplace Friends,
We’ve closed the window to buy Fireplace bricks. We want to thank everyone who bought a brick and we’re happy to announce that we sold a total of 398 bricks!!!
That means with your help we raised $39,800.00 for the Paramus Food Pantry and NJ SOS Stakeholders which directly helps US Veterans in need. We will be sending these funds to these worthy organizations this coming week.
A heartfelt thanks to the inimitable Brian Corcoran and his sidekick, Chet Colombo who did all the heavy lifting in removing and preparing the bricks.

There were some questions about what we were doing with the train tracks above the front counter. It’s #229 in the online auction.
