Fed Funds Rate is the overnight lending rates from bank to bank and that rate is the rate the Fed increases, decreases or pauses. The rate you pay on your variable heloc and your balances on your credit cards (if you have a balance) is directly affected by this rate.

Do you pay yourself AUTOMATICALLY on the first of the month? From your checking, into your brokerage account?
Do you pay yourself at least as much as your car payment? If you can’t afford to, then maybe your car payment is too high or the car payment is more important?!
