Yesterday was a DAY. And it turned out pretty good, actually.

There is a screen shot going around showing an email from my DM Tales address sent to a transgender woman who is part of the TTRPG community—telling her she’s going to hell and is horrible. I did not write that piece of garbage, and here is my response to it.

(a) When I write I use coherent grammar. I don’t write like a deranged person.

(b) Screw transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, misogyny, and form of hatred which spouts off the nonsense that some folks are more human than others.

(c) I don’t preach that way, my refrain for decades of pastoring is, “If I’m going to call out sin, I’m looking in the mirror.” It is not my job, calling, or desire to announce that people are going to hell.

(d) This is why I tell people to check sources, and share sources, rather than relying on screenshots. The email’s headers will show it’s spoofed, the same way spammers spoof emails in phishing attempts.

(e) That someone hurt a third party who is uninvolved with whatever anger they have towards me, ESPECIALLY in a way that is meant to trigger past-trauma, is one of the most despicable things I’ve had the misfortune to witness.
