The Magic Yarn Project

In May, Magic Yarn Project staff from across the country came together in San Diego for a multi-session wig-making workshop focused on bringing joy and confidence to children facing medical hair loss.

With the help of dedicated volunteers, 200 handmade yarn wigs were created over the course of the event. From new Magic Makers working together learning to attach hair to carefully boxing up completed wigs for shipment to cancer centers, every moment was driven by a shared mission: making magic for children who need it most.

“She is currently going through her second proton radiation treatments. She is doing all brain and spine radiation so she is losing her hair. Her nurses decided to let Rayvin pick out her yarn wig. Here's a photo of her after one of her treatments. She is absolutely loving it! Elsa is her favorite so she was super excited.
