We’re looking for enthusiastic Alaskans who are passionate about the Fair and excited to help represent the Alaska State Fair throughout the year.

🎡Selected Ambassadors will have the opportunity to volunteer and represent the Fair at special events and community activities, while being recognized at the 2026 Fair Director’s Reception.

Ambassadors receive:

Help prepare new planting areas, discover the seven layers of a food forest, and plant the first trees and shrubs in this exciting new project. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to dig in!

Actor, author and humorist Nick Offerman is rounding out the 2026 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series! Come see him live and in person for an evening of laughter on September 6! Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, June 5, at 10am at alaskastatefair.org.

Nick Offerman is known for his Emmy Award-winning role as Bill in The Last of Us, as well as Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, Forest in Devs and Karl Weathers in Fargo. He is also the author of six New York Times bestselling books, including his latest, Little Woodchucks: Offerman Woodshop’s Guide to Tools and Tomfoolery.

His recent screen projects include Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Death by Lightning, Sovereign, Voicemails For Isabelle, Civil War, The Pout-Pout Fish, Origin, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Fargo, Smurfs, The Umbrella Academy and Making It. In 2026, he will co-star in the new musical Iceboy! opposite his wife, Megan Mullally, at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, and hosts the WNYC radio series A Wonder Is What It Is, dedicated to Wendell Berry.

In his spare time, Offerman can be found at his Los Angeles woodshop building hand-crafted items such as spoons, canoes and ukuleles.
