Triple R is looking for some spring clean up helpers!
We may also be looking for full time stall cleaners.
In exchange, we will be offering free lessons/horse time for help.
Our big spring clean will be this Friday and Saturday ( May 5/6 ) 10 am start and 4 pm finish. Possibly earlier.

We will be opening our barn doors to some more boarders as we finish our 8 new stalls.
Triple R will be offering full care boarding as well as lessons and some partial horse leases again!

TITLE: Part Time Ranch Hand, Palmer Alaska
IMMEDIATE: Ranch Hand $20hr.
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Ranch Hand will perform general ranch work as directed, such as operating and maintaining the operational condition of farm equipment, caring for livestock, landscape maintenance, general labor, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: At least two years of experience working on a farm or ranch and performing work such as caring for livestock, fixing fence, cutting trees, landscape maintenance, snow removal etc. Experience in operating and maintaining farm equipment, such as tractors, mowers, chain saws, etc. is required.
Skills: Must be able to read English language sufficiently to understand written directions for the proper mixture, use, and disposal/storage of chemicals, fertilizers, and similar products used in agricultural work. Skill in the proper operation and maintenance of farm machinery, tractors, tools, and agricultural equipment is required. Must know how to drive farm tractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs tasks general labor farm duties as assigned by fixing fence, landscape maintenance, cutting trees, snow removal and applying fertilizer or chemicals, as directed.
2. Provides general care to livestock.
3. Safely operates light vehicles and farm machinery such as pick-up trucks, tractors, riding mowers, plows, mowers, etc. by obeying applicable traffic laws, following operator instructions, and wearing appropriate safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, or other protective clothing.
4. Performs regular and directed field maintenance by mowing / snow removal using riding mowers or tractors and gasoline-powered trimmers or chain saws, clearing brush, and setting up, adjusting, repairing.
5. Ensures that farm machinery, equipment, and tools are operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning farm machinery, equipment, and tools and making minor repairs within demonstrated capability.

Looking for some helpers to exchange helping out at the barn ( cleaning stalls primarily but it can be cleaning tack, feeding, watering, cleaning water buckets, etc ) for lessons/riding time.
2-4 times a week.
Must have reliable transportation, be trust worthy and a hard worker.

Our third strong baby of the year was born on the farm tonight. One more to go!
This bay c**t is an Andalusian x Canadian cross by our lovely leased mare Whirl. This is her second foal and our ex stallion Leo’s first!
