The Rusty Bleu Ranch
Welcome and Hello fellow Horse lovers! The Rusty Bleu Ranch here, A small family ranch with a big love for all things equine. Need a place to unwind? No worries!
We decided to open our gates to boarders who want the same thing we do " a peaceful place to relax and connect with our four legged friends. We are on a small scale but offer care we hope you will come to find a "peace", in. Our ranch has 12 x 36 pens with shades. There is access to a round pen and a spacious riding area. We have a large turn out pasture for some pony/horse downtime too. There is a tack room with a small patio cover with table and chairs and a small fridge, where you can chill with your pony/horse in the tacking up area. This area is seperate from the riding area and right now this area doubles as our wash area, but we already have wash rack dreams that will hopefully include heated water in the not so far future. Forgot your trailer? We have a 2 horse trailer we can offer for rent if the need comes up. Trailer storage is also availabe though space is limited. The good news is, our location is practically made for horseback adventures. We're surrounded by dirt roads perfect for riding, and close to tons of equestrian events - Antelope Valley Desert Riders is just a 10 minute ride or a 5 minute trailer ride away, with many more options nearby. Plus, we have close, easy freeway access which makes getting around a breeze. We are all about fostering that special connection with your horse in a comfortable atmosphere, wether your looking to win an event or just bond with your horse and take some stress out with a ride. If you have been with horses a lifetime or are new to the adventures of horses. We are here to help or find help if we dont have the answers.

interesting
The researchers wanted to settle an argument. People blanket horses constantly in Northern Europe, and nobody actually knew whether the horses wanted it. So they decided to ask them.
Using carrot slices and about 15 minutes of training a day, they taught each horse that a horizontal bar meant put my blanket on, a vertical bar meant take it off, and a blank board meant leave me alone. All 23 horses learned it. Most had it down in about 11 days.
Then came the real test. On cold, wet, windy days, 10 of the 12 unblanketed horses walked up and asked for a blanket. On warm sunny days, the blanketed ones asked to have it taken off. Their answers tracked the weather almost perfectly, which told the scientists the horses understood exactly what they were choosing.
They were never confused. They just had no way to tell us until someone handed them a board. π΄
